Every year, on Easter Monday, we host an Underwater Easter Egg Hunt.
This event is a fundraiser for the Nature Foundation Sint Maarten who do an amazing job educating our youth with Educational Snorkel Trips and School Presentations amongst many other things. If you don’t follow them start now @naturefoundationsxm
Each year our wonderful Easter Bunnies disperse Eggs (painted rocks) into the water along the beach and out along the Little Bay Peninsular for our participants to free dive down and collect. The deepest eggs are in about 28ft / 6m of water.
From Toddlers to Grandparents all ages are welcome, but you need to be able to swim and dive under the water to collect the Easter Eggs. Goggles, mask & snorkel and fins are needed as well as a mesh bag to collect your Eggs. We also suggest a floatation device such as a noodle or a bodyboard as the Eggs are heavy.
This is event is made possible by the support of Divi Little Bay Beach Resort, Windward Roads and all of our wonderful prize sponsors.
Photo albums of past Underwater Easter Egg Hunts are posted to our facebook page:
