The Scuba Shop’s Dive Guide describes some excellent scuba diving sites that are easily and safely accessible from your charter or private yacht - sail or power. The guide divides dive locations by island and offers detailed information on what makes each site unique. Each location has been carefully selected to balance accessibility, safety, and diving enjoyment, making it easier for yacht crews to plan their itineraries. Anchorages are chosen for their comfort in prevailing trade wind conditions and are ideal for both divers and non-divers. With detailed descriptions, divers can prepare for what to expect underwater. This structure ensures that yacht-based diving remains both safe and rewarding for groups of mixed experience levels.
This guide is to be used only by certified sport scuba divers with current valid certification from a recognized scuba training organization. At all times scuba divers must dive within the recognized sport diving limits and guidelines, and within the limits of their certification level.
It is your responsibility at all times to exercise good seamanship when anchoring your yacht, and your dinghy, at a dive site. You must ensure that you use sufficient scope (you may have to lengthen your dinghy anchor line), and check thoroughly that your anchor is well set and will not damage any coral. Please adhere to all guidelines and instructions issued by your charter company.
As a scuba diver it is your responsibility prior to diving, to check that local weather and sea conditions, including currents, are suitable for diving. You must also thoroughly check your own equipment, as well as that of your buddy, paying particular attention to the air supply. You must plan your dive, and then dive according to this plan. Always dive with a suitably experienced buddy and display your diver down flag prominently, exercising special caution in areas where there is boating and jet ski activity.
Although extensive care has been exercised in this guide to accurately describe dive site conditions, the publisher makes no warranty, expressed or implied, for any errors or omissions in this guide. This guide is not to be used for navigational purpose.
Should you feel that you have any additional information that would be useful for inclusion within this guide, we would be grateful to hear from you.
