The American University of the Caribbean (AUC) Medical School Community Action days allow students and faculty to lend a helping hand in the community. Today it involved a PADI Dive Against Debris dive along the Simpson Bay coastline.
After an hour of diving and snorkeling, looking for debris, it is loaded into kayaks and towed ashore where it is weighed, sorted and logged in the PADI Dive Against Debris database.
One day we hope to dive this site and find not a single piece of trash!!
